The acting director of the General Directorate of Traffic lt.Col Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa bin Subah Al Khalifah that the General Directorate of Traffic continues its traffic campaigns on various streets and highways to ensure that everyone is committed to the traffic rules and regulations to maintain the lives of all road users.

     Saying that the General Directorate of Traffic has catch the 5303 offences in the period from the date 20 January 2008 to 26 January 2008, these includes 219 offences of the use of mobile phones while driving by hand,  139 offences crossing the red lights, 99 offences to exceed the speed limit on the street, 563 offences for not using seat belts, 53 offences of over loading,  43 offences of seating children in the front seat who are under ten years, 7 offences of driving without a license, 11 offences of failing to keep to right  line, and 51 offences of wrong side.
