Strategy & Future Vision   General Directorate of Traffic (GDT) is adopting a comprehensive strategy depending on using most up-to-date techniques in order to perform the best traffic services and to raise up traffic safety level. GDT target is to create initiatives and self-confidence between traffic policemen, make them more flexible when dealing with community individuals, able to take the suitable action to solve traffic cases, and develop effective communications with community within the Law. These targets are achieved by the followings: 1. Traffic policemen must have Honesty and ability to take suitable actions. Justice and equality. Impartiality and transparency. Responsibility as confined by the Law. Respect to individuals rights. 2. Supporting the trust in community by traffic policemen 3. Making all traffic procedures clear to everyone. 4. Responding to community needs through participation and contact. 5. Encouraging community individuals to take their responsibilities for supporting traffic policemen.   6. Designating some traffic works to lighten the burden on GDT works, and keep concentrating only on traffic affairs, by which shall positively affect traffic safety. These works are as follows:   Towing defected vehicles from roads. Parking meters. Reporting slight accidents. Collecting fines for traffic offences. Vehicle inspection . Eye-sight test. Impoundment of offended vehicles.
