The Acting General Director
of the General Directorate of Traffic Lt. Col.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Sabah al-Khalifa said
that according to the Minister of Interior
Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al
Khalifa directions that the need to progress the
level of driver education in the Kingdom of
Bahrain and under the continuous Traffic
Directorate efforts to develop all Traffic
services, including the driving education sector
since it is a fundamental building block to
produce aware driver's of traffic rules and
regulations.
According to the Council of
Ministers resolution to recruit 30 trainers, the
General Directorate of Traffic start to receive
requests for those who wish to work as driving
trainers, where the Training Driving Department
began the normal procedure of selecting the best
applicants who are eligible according to the
article 280 of the Regulations of Law No. 9 of
the year 1979.
Hence, the directorate has
chosen 15 males and 15 females who met the
required conditions, where they will undergo to
a rehabilitation and training courses, which is
scheduled to be held during the months of April
and May 2009 at the School of Public Security
for the driving training sessions, where the
course will teach the foundations of driving
skills and how to control the vehicle as well as
the familiarity with the art of preventive
driving manner.
The Lt. Col. Sheikh Abdul
Rahman bin Sabah al-Khalifa assures that the new
group of trainers will serve this important
sector significantly because of the increasing
demands, stressing that the session prepared by
the General Directorate of Traffic based on the
scientific bases aiming to develop the driving
training profession and contribute to reduce
traffic accidents throughout the graduating
qualified drivers to cope with rapid changes of
traffic, wishing all road users traffic safety. |
