Seizure 223 yellow square violation during January 2009                       29/1/2009 The General Directorate of Traffic continues to control the violations of passing the yellow square at the intersections, through a special team to curb such abuses, where the General Directorate of Traffic was able to seizure 223 violation in the period of January 1, 2009 until January 28, 2009, during the morning and evening traffic peak. The General Directorate of Traffic said that Article 47 of the Traffic Act No. 9 of the year 1979, states that (at the traffic stop or deceleration which threats the traffic the vehicle driver, in spite of his/her priority, in spite of green light or the presence of any sign or signal to allow his/her to pass, the offender will be punished by a fine not exceeding BD 10.000 according to article No. 82 of Part VIII.
