An extended meeting held in the General
Directorate of Traffic building between the
General Directorate of Traffic, representatives
of Chamber of Commerce and Bahrain Industry,
representatives of the Ministry of Labor and
representatives of the Ministry of Industry and
Trade, the meeting was chaired by the Acting
Director-General of the General Directorate of
Traffic Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Sabah Al-Khalifa
and attended by both the Director of Licenses
Affairs Lt. Col. Khalid Rabia Sinan Al-Dosari
and the Director of Training & Public Relation
Affairs Major Moussa Isa Al-Dosari in addition
to a number of officers of the General
Directorate of Traffic.
The meeting was also attended by the chiefs of
security and services subaltern to Ministry of
Industry and Trade, Mr. Issa Talfet and the
Director of the Directorate of Inspection union
subaltern to the Ministry of Labor Mr. Ahmed
Alhaiki and Vice-Chairman of the Executive
Assistant of services of the Commerce and
Industry Chamber Mr. Nabil Abdel-Rahman Al-Mahmoud
and members of the Council of the Commerce and
Industry Chamber Mr. Adel Al Aali, Mr. Abdul
Hameed AlKooheji, Mr. Samir Nasef, the meeting
was also attended by members of the Committee of
Building and Construction Chamber Mr. Netham
Kmshki, Mr. Rasul AlMoseeb and Mr. Aref Jamsheer
as well as Dr. Munther AlKhoor Director of the
Directorate of the labor market and
international organizations in the Chamber.
The attendees discussed how to develop a
mechanism for the implementation of the
Ministerial Decision No. (53) for the year 2008
about the prevention of the transfer of
passengers via unprepared vehicles, however,
basis on the Article (75), which says that "Not
allowed to transport passengers in any vehicle
with no places to sit as produced from the
factory with no safety standards, does not allow
the presence of passengers or people in the
places allocated to the payload of the transport
vehicles of different kinds," to be implemented
at the beginning of May.
It should be noted that these meetings come
within the General Directorate of Traffic
keenness to secure the safety to passage of all
road users and confirmation of the principle of
partnership, cooperation and coordination with
the concerned authorities to implement the
decisions of public interest.
