A traffic accident led to a very serious
physical injuries to a driver of a motorcycle
with four wheels.
This was stated by the Director of Training and
Public Relation Affairs Major Musa Isa Al Dosari
emphasizing that the Control Room of the
Operations and Traffic Control has received a
notification at 4.30 pm of a serious traffic
accident, and as soon as received the
notification, the patrols went directly to the
accident place where they found that it was an
accident for a motorcycle with four wheel, the
driver is 32 years old, a Bahraini nationality
was driving his motorcycle in a residential area
- west Krzkan roundabout without using a helmet
and because of the high speed and
non-restrictive to the traffic safety
requirement. The driver hit by stones therefore
he was threw away from the motorcycle and his
head hit by a large stone, which led to the very
serious injuries in the head and the body.
Saying that there is a large number of such
drivers of the four wheels who do not adhere to
the traffic rules and regulations, which
stipulate to the necessity to use it in
unpopulated areas and to wear a head helmet and
keep away from the dangerous movements,
stressing that the General Directorate of
Traffic had noted more than once across all the
media on the need for adhere to resolution No.
42 of the year 2005 and Ministerial Decision No.
27 of the year 2005 which issued by the Minister
of the Interior, which state that the General
Directorate of Traffic approve the importation
and use of the four wheels used in the inhabited
and authorized areas to use on public roads and
residential areas in accordance with the
procedures set out in Ministerial Resolution No.
(27) for the year 2005 on the approval
procedures of the import and use of motorcycles
with four wheels, as follows:
1. Proportionality must be adhered between the
age of the driver and the volume capacity of a
motorcycle engine.
2. Pledged the owner of the motorcycle to take
responsibility for the safety of the user and
ensure his ability to control the bike, and
using the head helmet, with a commitment to the
age group.
3. The owner undertakes the responsibility of
not using the motorcycle in the inhabited
places, within the fenced areas, and take the
responsibility in case of violation that.
4. The owner Committed to notify the General
Directorate of Traffic in the case of
transferring ownership of the bike to another
person.
5. Motorcycle users are required to transport it
with the trailer in the main roads as well as
when transported to the permitted places of
using it.
6. The General Directorate of Traffic record the
data of importing, as well as the data of the
new owner in the case of transferring of
ownership.
