Major Moussa Isa Dosari Director of the Training
and Public Relation Affairs Directorate of the
General Directorate of Traffic had started, on
Sunday, 12 April 24 investigating in car
accidents during the rains did not result in any
physical injuries. Al
Dossari has confirmed that these rates are
considered significant in comparison with the
daily traffic accidents rates, and that the jump
in the rates of traffic accidents came as a
result of rainfall and the failure to take
caution and care while driving by some drivers
and road users, adding that the operations and
control room has received four reports of
disruption of signals lights in different parts
of the Kingdom during the rainfall and
immediately the site were cover and stalled by
the traffic police and security patrols in
cooperation with the provinces and Rescue
patrols and community police officers to ensure
the safety of road users, while re-operated by
specialists in the Ministry of Works and the
Electricity Commission.
The Director of the Training and Public Relation
Affairs Directorate said that the General
Directorate of Traffic had noted more than once
the need for prudence and caution while driving
in rainy times and abide the careful driving by
leaving a distance of safety and to ensure the
safety of the tires, brakes as well as the
safety glass, lighting, stressing that the
driving in rainy times was totally different
from normal times through the use of brakes and
the road to deal with the changes, adding that
as a result of the redesign of roads and streets
there are many transfers of traffic that must be
dealt with great caution while driving in the
rainy season and not rush to ease the command
and speed at the intersections and turns, and
compliance safety belt use and prevention of
using mobile phones while driving by hand and
repeated change of the lanes, without the need
to avoid more traffic accidents, wishing for all
traffic safety.
