912 offences during the second half of 2008 in Hamad Town                 12/2/2009 The Director of the Training and Public Relation Affairs Directorate Major Musa Isa Al Dosari assure that the General Directorate of Traffic is still implementing its various campaigns on the different streets in the Kingdom of Bahrain to confirm the necessary of adhering the traffic rules and regulations. Al Dosari said that the General Directorate of Traffic monitored the place where young people used to group in, and where they do many irregularities habits, the General Directorate of Traffic catch 912 offences during the second half of the year 2008 in Hamad Town, including 282 offences of illegal grouping and parking, 139 offences reckless driving speeds, 70 offences of adding illegal accessories to the vehicle, 57 offences of issuing a disturbing voice of tires, 42 offences of racing and 4 of driving without a driving license. As Major Moussa Al Dosari assure that the directorate had stopped 28 vehicles and 4 motorcycles in that period because of exceeded traffic regulations and endanger themselves and others at risk, adding that the directorate will continue its crackdown and campaigns on the various streets and regions of the Kingdom to reduce such serious phenomenon, which offers lives and properties of innocent people to risk, stressing that the General Directorate of Traffic is seeking to maintain the safety of all road users and to work to reduce rates of traffic accidents. He emphasized that the General Directorate of Traffic have not and will not tolerate with any of the traffic laws broker on the road, causing damage to lives and properties, asking all the road users and parents to cooperate with the General Directorate of Traffic to reduce the phenomenon and the to contact 199 to report any youth groups aims to do traffic violations for their own safety and the safety of others, hoping traffic safety for all.
